@@iBuyFeetPix that may be true, but the people there now seem to have more reverence for Destiny than the OG D1 team. gotta remember how that game was cobbled together from disparate parts about 6 months before release. then re-worked again and again. plus, Bungie has made massive progress away from being the toxic workplace it was back then.

and the community has gotten more and more toxic over the years! its insane to see how entitled and whiney so many people are. like, go play other games

Witch Queen undoubtedly had the best writing within the story, though. It was the first time we’ve ever had twists, foreshadowing, etc.

I'm not saying D2 is perfect by any means, cause it aint. I cant think of another game on the market where the vanilla base campaign stuff isnt playable. but as a sheer improvement over D1, c'mon. its night and day

And rhulk imo is the best for it his is already great but his personality easily is the only other being that could get this and look just as intimidating as oryx

@@badrolljoeI don’t think he was on yet but he was definitely on the road to becoming one till his ultimate death and then rhulk was sent for savathûn instead to replace him. And for the rhulk having similar abilities he practically made the hive into what they are the witness may have set the seeds of lies but rhulk is the one who gifted them the worms and told them to reach into the deep and rise from it as the hive

Oryx isnt mentioned in the Inspiral entry The Cave, but that may be because of the name drops of more contemporary antagonists. idk though, I'm still inclined to think that Oryx was a disciple, just maybe he wasnt reshaped by The Witness like Calus and Rhulk (and to a lesser degree Nezarec but that was mostly us messing around with Pyramid tech and Light. also.. just a thought The Witch (Savathûn), The Nightmare (Nezarec), The Upender (Rhulk), The Navigator (Oryx?), The Opulent (Calus?)... not sure what Xivu Arath would be?

@@badrolljoe hmm I don’t actually know what xivu title would be either? God of war is about all that comes to mind. And for him being a disciple he could have but I’m sure he wasn’t yet and was a disciple in the making like savathûn. We know rhulk was sent to her throne world to watch over her until she was ready to become one but as we see in the WQ story she betrayed him and the witness trapping Rhulk and weakening him within his own domain.

@@adamboy0559The Deck of Whispers refer to Xivu Arath as “The Adherent.” Essentially she is an eternal follower of the sword logic and has been in an existential crisis ever since we took out her leader, dear brother and First Navigator Oryx.

Oryx had a great reveal. Rhulk was good and tbh this type of entrance would have fit him perfectly if changed a little. Tho I didn’t play much d1 this does take one of the best entrances yet
